Abstract
The research aimed to prepare an educational program based on using the Woods model and to identify its effect on learning some floor movement skills in gymnastics for female students in the second stage of the Physical Education and Sports Sciences Department at Al-Maaref University in Anbar Governorate, Iraq. The researcher used an experimental method by designing two groups, a control group, and an experimental group, with a sample of 12 female students from the second stage, randomly divided into two groups of six students each. The educational program lasted for six weeks, with one teaching unit per week, in which the educational steps of the Woods model (prediction, observation, and interpretation) were applied in the educational section of the teaching unit. Afterward, the practical exercises prepared in the application section were applied. The researcher concluded that there is an effectiveness of the educational program using the Woods model in learning some floor movement skills in gymnastics for female students in the second stage of the Physical Education and Sports Sciences Department at Al-Maaref University in Anbar Governorate, Iraq.
