Abstract
Search aim to:
- Constructing two scales to measure the challenges faced by students of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in the universities of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq when playing the futsal game, and measuring the distance of these students from refereeing futsal matches.
- Identifying the challenges faced by students of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in the universities of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq when playing futsal.
- Identifying the reasons for the reluctance of female students of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to participate in the arbitration of futsal matches.
- Identifying the nature of the relationship between the challenges faced by students of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in the universities of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq when playing futsal and their distance from refereeing their matches.
The methodology used by the research is the descriptive approach in the survey and correlation methods. The research community included fourth-stage female students in the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in the universities of the Kurdistan Region-Iraq for the academic year (2022-2023). The sample of the exploratory study included (8) students from the College of Physical Education and sports sciences at Salah al-Din University, while the construction sample included (114) female students from the colleges mentioned above, with a percentage of (58%) of the main research sample. As for the application sample, it included the remainder of the main research sample, which numbered (75) female students, and to collect data, the researcher built two measures. The first measures the challenges faced by female students of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences when playing the futsal game with (12) items, while the second measures the abstention from participating in arbitration of the game matches, which amount to (10) items. Through use statistical methods, the data was processed, and the researcher concluded the following:
- The effectiveness of the two scales of the challenges faced by female students when playing the futsal game, and the scale of refraining from participating in the arbitration of futsal matches after reaching their construction according to the scientific steps.
- Female students of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in the universities of the Kurdistan Region-Iraq face a high level of challenges when playing futsal.
- Female students of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in the universities of the Kurdistan Region-Iraq are far from refereeing futsal matches at a high rate.
- The challenges facing female students of the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in the universities of the Kurdistan Region-Iraq significantly related to refraining from refereeing futsal matches.
