Abstract
The study aimed to: Identify the effect of thinking maps on learning side hook punch skills in boxing.
The researcher used the experimental method by designing the control and experimental groups with pre and post tests, and accordingly the researcher chose the research community in a deliberate way from the students of the second stage For the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University’s College of Knowledge, who are continuing in regular hours for the year (2021-2022) in the morning study, numbering (97) students, divided by nature into two study divisions (A, B). The research sample was chosen randomly from them from each division (25) students For the two research groups, bringing the total number of the main sample to (50) students (51.546)% of their community of origin. The implementation of the educational cords took (1) a month, with (1) educational unit per week, which constituted (4) educational units and in a time of (90) minutes per unit, which includes (4) exercises for each educational unit. To develop the research variables and after completing the implementation of the educational units, the post tests were conducted on the sample and under the same conditions in which the tribal tests were conducted, and then the data from those tribal and post tests were collected and processed statistically. For the skills used in the research, because the design of the thinking map and its use in the applications of teaching skill learning by boxing in the educational curriculum are suitable for teaching second-year students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University College of MaarefThinking hooks help learn to perform the hook punch, and they outperform students who learn without it. Think spinners help learn to defend against the hook punch, and they outperform students who learn without it. In light of the foregoing conclusions, the researcher recommends the following: It is necessary to generalize the results of this study when seeking to improve the level of learning the skills of the hook punch in boxing among students of the second stage of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University College of Knowledge.
