Abstract
In light of the development in the sports field, the learning process of a skill is not limited to acquiring it and reaching mastery but extends to the process of learning development. The aim of this research is to design visual-cognitive exercises for handball passing and dribbling skills that are suitable for the sample, and to recognize the effect of visual-cognitive exercises on the performance level of handball passing and dribbling skills. The researcher used an experimental method by designing equivalent control and experimental groups for passing and dribbling skills. The study was conducted on a purposive sample of fourteen players from the first preparatory stage of Baghdad Al-Karkh Education team. The exercise application took six weeks, with two units per week on Sundays and Wednesdays. After applying the designed visual-cognitive exercises, and processing the data using statistical laws, the research concluded that there is a positive effect of the designed visual-cognitive exercises on improving the performance level of handball passing and dribbling skills. The experimental group showed better results than the control group, and the number and timing of exercises were appropriate for the players to adapt and improve their handball passing and dribbling skills
